Virtual Tours of Milford

While the Milford Historical Society is primarily focused upon preserving and sharing the history of Milford Michigan, we also love living here in the present. These virtual tours were created by Norm Werner, our Webmaster. They show various locations in and around the Village of Milford. Some have specific themes, like the Restaurants of Milford tour. Others are just compilations of locations in the Village. Enjoy, and come visit us in Milford, Michigan. You’ll love it, too!

When you are through watching a tour, just close the window that was opened to display it and you’ll be returned here.

In and Around Milford - a fairly generic tour of places other than the downtown.

Walking down Main Street - As the name implies this is a tour of the 3-4 blocks of Main St. that make up most of the downtown business district. Every little town in America has a Main Street. This is ours.

The Churches of Milford - The places of worship in our little Village.

The Restaurants of Milford - Milford has become a “destination” for fine dining in the area. We even have the restaurant named “Best Restaurant in Detroit” by the Detroit Free Press for 2005 - The Five Lakes Grill. We have three destination restaurants in the Village - Five Lake, Gravity and Appeteaser. From the middle of the downtown one can literally walk to 16  restaurants, ranging from Coney Islands to haute cuisine.

The Pettibone Creek Powerhouse - To read more about the Historical Society’s on-going project to restore this treasure and perhaps even bring it back to life as a power generating station click here.
